Web Site Design & Development
This is our "soup to nuts" service. Seriously - we'll bring soup to the kickoff meeting and nuts to the launch party. This service is for clients who either don't have a web site yet or need a complete redesign of their existing site. We typically follow a four-step process: discover, design, development, and deploy. We would call it our unique four-step process, but every other web company has the same exact methodology, so that would be false advertising on our part.
- Discover
- Meet to discuss project scope, review site objectives, analyze competitor sites, view other sites you like/dislike, create user scenarios, assign responsibilities, arrive at project timeline
- Design
- Create mockup screens for the homepage and subpages, iterate through designs until client sign-off, design initial database, create information architecture
- Develop
- Create physical web pages, insert content, finalize database structure
- Deploy
- Quality assurance, browser/platform testing, move to production server, launch
Content Management System (CMS)
Most clients opt for the implementation of a CMS in the site. Without getting too technical, the CMS stores all of the site's content into a database, which is then easily accessible via a browser. The browser interface lets the administrator manage (add/edit/view/delete) the content in a very friendly, easy-to-use manner. No knowledge of HTML is necessary to use the CMS, which means that non-technical clients can maintain the site themselves without relying on us or an internal technical resource.
