Sox Appeal at Fenway
So my brother just got back from Italy and we went to the Rangers game last night. We had standing room tickets up in the right field deck. It was my first time up there. Very cool. However, it is kinda weird trying to watch a game up there. Nobody pays attention to the game. Eric Hinske had a bases-clearing triple and there wasn't a peep out of the crowd up there. The rest of Fenway was going bananas but the roof deck folks were like, "Huh, what are we cheering at? Oh yeah, I am at a baseball game.
Anyway, the roof deck is also where NESN films the 'Sox Appeal' show, where a lucky participant is matched up with three dates during the course of the game. They sit at a table and are filmed during each of the dates. It just so happens that they also interview fans and get their opinions on the match-ups. The four of us were cornered by the NESN crew and were caught on tape giving awkward answers to them about the old guy below. The show airs at the end of the month.
