Fun with Google

Step 1: Google your name. Helps if you have a common name.

Step 2: Find snippets of text that are funny as they reflect upon you.

Step 3: Enjoy the hilarity that ensues.

Examples when searching for my name....
  • BaseballLibrary.com
    "...was too awkward and unreliable"

  • Voice123.com
    "
A new talent who is fresh in the business"

  • AlShawPatioCovers.com
"Southern Californias premier builder of custom patio covers"

  • Amazon
"...a rather eccentric fellow who is a very difficult person to like"

  • Hermit.org
"...is the very nasty right hand man"

  • RottenTomatoes.com
    "...
expends all his energies and time at the 'smash palace'"

  • TheWBALChannel.com
"...was willing to go to any length to just get a good night's rest"

  • Joi.org
    "...
who is studying philosophy, said, "They should be," adding, 'They're doughy.'"

Milky (No) Way milk!

The highlight of my week* is going upstairs to The Newstand, a deli/packie/convenient store, because they always have new products to buy. Wild Cherry Diet Pepsi? There. Utz Slow-Cooked? Yep. Smores candy bar? Ditto. Every day is Christmas up there.

So I went there today to get my tuna melt on wheat, and what do I see? Milky Way flavored milk. And right next to it was Three Musketeers flavored milk! Had I been drinking at the time, a spittake would have occurred and made the Skeey blooper reel (along with CK saying "Google has become more smart..." today in a client call).

Anyway, never one to turn down flavored milk, I tried it out. Pretty tasty!

I have a sneaky suspicion that in 5 years, all food will be available in smoothie form. Want steak tips? Eat a delicious steak tip smoothie. Can be eaten with a spoon, fork, spork, or chugged from the container.

I'm very serious about this.

* Please note that I said "week", not "weekend." My weekends are booked and full of excitement. I defy you to find anyone who has more fun....at Borders....10 hours a day....sitting alone on a couch in the corner of the "Internet and Computers" section.

Baby Central

I mentioned a few weeks ago that our sysadmin Eric is the proud papa of a baby boy, Nolan. Here's a pic of the little guy:

As you can tell, Eric has decided to raise his child the Macintosh way. Would you expect anything else from a guy who spends all his time administering Windows servers?

If you have baby photos, send them over! Telling ya, it's so much easier than coming up with funny stuff.

The kid stays in the picture....

The last few weeks have consisted of exactly two things -- work and sleep. We don't discuss work because that's boring and confidential, and we don't discuss sleep because there's nothing to say about sleep (other than how much it kicks butt).

So, when you have nothing to write about, you post a picture of the cutest niece in the world.

UPDATE: Andrea from Middlesex Savings Bank emailed to say that her niece Samantha was in fact the cutest in the world. Troubled by this allegation, I immediately drove up to Natick and viewed a picture of her. Turns out she is very cute. Thus, they are both now tied for the title. But I'm only buying one of them gifts.

UPDATE, PART DEUX: And here is the picture of Samantha and her brother Zack.
