One...Really Awful Idea

Dead Bodies & Dinner

I went to the BodyWorlds 2 exhibit last night at the Museum of Science and then to dinner. It was incredible. There were about 20 real, dead people (including a camel and a pony) on display. A guy named, Gunther von Hagens (no relation to the ice cream) created the plastination process where people can be immortalized for eternity. Kinda creepy but it is going to be used in some medical schools' curricula in the future in place of regular autopsies. The other weird thing is that at the end of the exhibit there is some information on donating your body to the program. If I donated myself, they would have to pose me sitting in a leather chair at a computer playing Warcraft with a half-eaten bag of Doritos. You should definitely check it out before January 7th.

IKEA redux

Gavin and I made a late-night stop to IKEA Stoughton last night to pick up a "Billy" bookcase. It's behind Gavin and currently out of webcam range. But it's nice. Once we get books, it'll be even nicer.

Also picked up a bag of Swedish meatballs and had a couple dozen late last night. If there's ever a "Big Book of Good Ideas," this won't be in it. Damn that IKEA and their stylish yet inexpensive product.

Ask Al's Mom how old she is today!

She might tell you, she might not. Ok, ok, she's 39 today. I was born very prematurely.

Happy birthday to my mom, a kind and sincere fountain of knowledge.
