How Do You Get Rid of Burnt Popcorn Residue?
Question:
From Donna Morgan...
What is the best way to get rid of the smell of burnt microwave popcorn? I burned a bag a week ago but can't get rid of the smell. It has taken over my kitchen, and despite cleaning with water, baking soda, Lysol and Oust, it is still lingering. Any ideas?
Answer:
Good morning Donna! I've had the same problem before and I know this works. Put some baking soda and real lemon juice in a bowl of water. Heat it up for a couple of minutes and then keep the bowl in the microwave for about 15 minutes. Then you should be able to wipe off the burnt residue with a sponge or paper towel. This should do the trick. If it doesn't, try using vinegar. Good luck!
